Busch Gardens Tampa BayWhat’s new at Howl-O-Scream 2019 at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay John Gregory 08/13/2019 Our Fun For its 20th anniversary, Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will feature a new haunted house and three new scare zones. “Howl-O-Scream 2019 unearths long-buried icons of the past as well as new nightmares as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay celebrates ‘20 Years of Fear’ with horrifying haunted houses, terrifying scare zones and thrilling rollercoaster rides through the dark,” the park said in a press release. “For two demented decades, Howl-O-Scream has been haunting Tampa Bay each fall as the area’s premier Halloween event.” The new house is called The Residence, the story focusing on a seemingly mundane suburban family that is seeking “the next sacrifice in their sinister devotion.” Three new scare zones will also be set up around the park, such as the gothic Romanian cemetery of Carpe Noctem; the creepy homemade costumes of Little Nightmares; and First Fear, which Busch Gardens says will feature past Howl-O-Scream characters like “Dr. Livingsdoom, the vampires from the House of Vayne, Trickster and more.” In all, the event will feature a total of six houses and nine scare zones, with the lineup rounded out by returning favorites like Motel Hell: Infestation and the Deadly Toys scare zone. Howl-O-Scream 2019 runs on select nights at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay from Sept. 20 through Nov. 2. Single-night tickets start at $40 per person, while an unlimited admission pass good for all 22 nights of the event costs $80.
