Orange County Commissioner Victoria Siplin has qualified for the ballot in her re-election campaign, the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office has reported.

Siplin,  was first elected in 2014 to represent the commission’s District 6 in west-central Orange County. She also serves as vice-mayor of the Board of County Commissioners.

She faces a challenge from political activist Robin Harris this year. For her re-election campaign, Siplin has raised nearly $56,000 through the end of March, while Harris had raised just over $4,000.

Siplin said she gathered more than 1,300 signatures, while needing 1,003 to be validated.
