Tavistock Group the first two tenants at its Pixon Apartments complex in Lake Nona Thursday: Foxtail Coffee Co. and Island Fin Poke Co.
Pixon Apartments’ ground floor includes 32,500 square feet of mixed-use commercial space, and the two local concepts will rent out a combined 3,000 square feet – 1,300 for Foxtail and 1,700 for Island Fin Poke.
Foxtail Coffee specializes in roasting coffee from all over the world using state-of-the-art equipment. Tavistock said the chain “will offer a welcome atmosphere with the highest standard for quality coffee.”
Island Fin Poke is an restaurant chain that serves island-style bowls complemented with local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients for what it calls “pole-to-bowl, farm-to-fork naturally great food.”
Tavistock said the Lake Nona Pixon location marks the brand’s third restaurant in the Central Florida area.
Construction on the new 201-unit complex is set to wrap up at the end of the year, and the inaugural tenants in the commercial space are planning for an early 2019 opening.
Pixon is situated within walking distance of the Lake Nona Town Center at the southeast intersection of Tavistock Lakes Boulevard and Lake Nona Boulevard. The urban-inspired flat community boasts a list of “innovative community conveniences,” including a rideshare program featuring Tesla Model 3s, a concierge delivery system, and the Orlando market’s first micro apartment units.
Tavistock said it is still seeking restaurant and office space tenants for the community, as well as artists to design, fabricate and install “dynamic, site-specific artwork” on three levels of Pixon’s north, east and west facades.
