Newly-released video shows Orange County detectives asking alleged Disney World thief Patrick Spikes about the Buzzy theft.
Patrick Spikes is set to stand trial beginning Oct. 28 on five charges, including that he stole and sold costumes from the Haunted Mansion.
25-year-old Patrick Spikes has been charged with stealing and then selling costumes from Haunted Mansion, as well as entering an off-limits area in Epcot.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) is still investigating the theft of Disney World animatronic Buzzy, despite a source claiming he was never stolen in the first place and remains on Disney property.
After the theft was mentioned in a May 17 arrest warrant, Orange County Sheriff's Office clarified to Orlando Rising that the Buzzy animatronic "is stolen" and the theft remains a "very active investigation."
