The construction site in front of the Jurassic Park section of Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure is changing rapidly.

Crews have begun installing what appear to be the first vertical supports for the rumored Jurassic Park coaster.

To illustrate just how fast construction is progressing, notice how just two days earlier, the cranes were in a different position and fewer supports were on site.

The coaster construction has caused a major shift in the Jurassic Park area. A new walkway has been between the Pizza Predattoria restaurant (which is now behind construction walls) and the entrance to Jurassic Park River Adventure. Besides the construction cranes, there’s little to see except walls and a few plants.

Elsewhere around Islands of Adventure, the area around Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges and Me Ship, The Olive is currently closed for refurbishment, making the waterfront behind Mythos is now the undisputed top spot for photos of the Jurassic Park construction site.

This area of Toon Lagoon is scheduled to reopen on Dec. 22.
