A staffing firm is being ordered to pay back wages to more than 800 hotel workers in Orlando who didn’t get proper overtime pay.
The U.S. Department of Labor last week ordered APDC Services to pay 811 workers almost $134,000 in back wages.
The federal agency says the staffing company didn’t pay workers time and a half for the hours they worked beyond a 40-hour work week and instead gave them straight hourly pay.
The staffing company also ordered to pay a $57,000 penalty.
The company provides hotel workers to several large resorts in Orlando’s tourist district.
