Orange County will be conducting a transportation improvement study for Sand Lake Road, from Apopka Vineland Road to Turkey Lake Road, on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The meeting will take place at the Dr. Phillips High School cafeteria, with the doors opening at 6 p.m. and a presentation at 6:30 p.m.
The intent of the study is to assess current and future travel demands, and see what they can improve about the roadways to keep people and vehicles moving at maximum capacity.
The study is also considering improvements on Wallace Road and is open to ideas for that, as well.
The presentation will consist of maps and displays detailing the information about what the projects will set out to do. Afterwards, there will be a question and answer session.
The County “encourages attendance at this public meeting to review potential alternatives that are under consideration and to provide citizen input,” according to a press release.
