Orange County Commission candidate Mayra Uribe has received the endorsement of the Orange County Fire Fighters Association in her quest for the District 3 seat.
“After much careful thought and consideration, our board decided to endorse you based on your strong work ethic and commitment to not only our men and women but your support to labor in general,” Union President Andre Perez stated in a letter Monday announcing the endorsement.
The OCFFA, Local 2057 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, represents 1,050 firefighters and others in Orange County.
Uribe is in a six-way race to replace Commissioner Pete Clarke, who is running for Orange County Mayor rather than for re-election, with Pete Crotty, former Belle Isle Commissioner Bobby Lance, retired Orange County Police Officer Bill Moore, Orange County Soil & Water District Chairman Eric Rollings, and Randy Whiting. District 3 covers south-central Orange County.
“We are ending the month of July on a positive note with several endorsements from organizations that chose to support our campaign,” Urube stated in a fundraising letter proclaiming the endorsement.
