In any race, candidates tend to stock up on endorsements they get from people who matter – and Bobby Olszewski now has the backing of NSYNC and “Dancing With The Stars” alum Joey Fatone in his race for Orange County Commission District 1.
Fatone, an Orange County resident himself, has a personal connection: he and Olszewski went to school together and they were even on an All-Orange County Middle School Chorus together.
On Wednesday, Fatone did a robocall for the candidate, saying that he could personally attest to Olszewski’s abilities to succeed as a commissioner.
“I’m actually a friend of Bobby Olszewski,” Fatone says on the call. “We graduated high school in 1995, many years ago. I can personally vouch for his ability as a commissioner, and his dedication to our community. He’ll always put residents and community first in Orange County.”
Fatone also recently opened Fat One’s Hotdogs in the Florida Mall in Orange County.
Olszewski, meanwhile, is facing Betsy VanderLey in the race for District 1 seat, currently up for grabs as commissioner Scott Boyd is terming out.
