The Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association announced two more endorsements in Orange County races, backing Patricia Rumph for the Orange County Commission and David Grimm for the Orange County School Board in the Nov. 6 elections.
Rumph is running against Orange County School Board Member Christine Moore in the Orange County Commission’s District 2 race. Grimm is running against Johanna Lopez in the Orange County School Board’s District 2 race.
The endorsements follow a long list that the association has rolled out in recent weeks, that also have included Susan Makowski and Pete Crotty for the Orange County Commission’s Districts 4 and 3 contests, and Melissa Byrd for Orange County School Board District 7 race.
The group also endorsed Orlando Police Chief John Mina for the election to Orange County Sheriff.
Other CFH&LA endorsements have gone to state Sen. Kelli Stargel in the Senate District 22; and Florida House candidates David Smith in House District 28, state Rep. Bob Cortes in House District 30, State Rep. Mike La Rosa in House Disrict 42; state Rep. Bobby Olszewski in House District 44; Stockton Reeves in House District 47; state Rep. Amy Mercado in House District 48; and state Rep. Rene Plasencia in House District 50. Mercado is a Democrat; all the others are Republicans.
The group also endorsed Viviana Janer and Cheryl Grieb in the Osceola County Commission Districts 2 and 4 elections; and Jay Zembower in the Seminole County District 2 contest.
