Less than a year after its last name change, the 40-story-tall observation wheel along International Drive is again adopting a new moniker: The Wheel.

It’s the fourth name overall for the structure. When it opened in 2015, it was dubbed the Orlando Eye, which was later altered to Coca-Cola Orlando Eye as a result of a naming rights deal. When the sponsorship ended, it was rechristened as the Icon Orlando in May 2018 while the name of the surrounding complex was changed from I-Drive 360 to Icon Orlando.

The new name is part of another rebranding as the area around The Wheel will now be known as Icon Park.

“In a 20-acre walkable footprint, we have more than 40 restaurants, bars, shops and attractions, all situated around a wonderful central lawn,” Icon Park CEO Chris Jaskiewicz said in a press release. “We’re the perfect place to eat, drink and have fun in a really relaxed environment.”

As part of the announcement, Icon Park announced it’s adding two new restaurants: sushi-centric Mikado and Ox Grill, described as serving “contemporary cuisine with steaks, pastas and a selection of international dishes” with space to host meetings and weddings.

The building will also add a food hall called the Wheelhouse Market, located near ticket booths for The Wheel, Madame Tussauds Orlando and Sea Life Orlando Aquarium.
