Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer‘s State of Downtown address, which was previously postponed due to Hurricane Matthew, has a new set date now of Dec. 6.

The reason it was postponed from its original Oct. 6 date was to give people more time to prepare for the hurricane.

At the event, Dyer is expected to give the latest updates on the continued revitalization of downtown Orlando, and the newest advancements in education and strengthening neighborhoods and the overall quality of life.

The event will take place at the Bob Carr theater at 401 West Livingston Street on Dec. 6, 2016 at 3:30 p.m., with the doors opening at 3 p.m.
