Cybersecurity, one of the significant issues in modern times, is the topic du jour at the monthly meeting of the Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida this week.

A panel of experts will discuss cybersecurity, how it affects the country and the different strategies to curb online threats and privacy attacks.

The meeting is Friday, June 23, at the Doubletree Orlando Downtown, 60 S. Ivanhoe Blvd. Registration is 11:30 a.m.; meeting begins at noon.

Panelists include Michael Macedonia, University of Central Florida Assistant vice president for Research and Innovation and deputy director of the Applied Research Institute; Henry Dreifus President and CEO of Dreifus Associates Ltd., Inc., pioneers of cybersecurity to identify, develop and implement cyberstrategies for international organizations and U.S. Army Col. Richard Haggerty, project manager for Instrumentation, Targets, Threat Simulators and Special Operations Training Systems.

Attorney Adam Losey will moderate the discussion. Losey stands for companies on litigation, information security, privacy, electronic discovery, technology contracting, social media and internet -related matters. He is also president of InfaGard Orlando, a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector on information security issues.

Space is limited and RSVPs are required, available through June 21. Tickets are $40 for guests and nonmembers.
