Disney has announced a new hyper-reality Star Wars experience that will allow guests to go undercover as stormtroopers.

Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire will transport guests into the Star Wars universe, walking untethered throughout the multisensory experience with friends and family. In groups of four, teams will go undercover as stormtroopers to capture Imperial intelligence vital to the rebellion’s survival.

The experience, by ILMxLAB and The VOID, debuts at Disney Springs at Dec. 16, and at Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort, Jan. 5, 2018.

The debut coincides with the release of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” on Dec. 15.

The 30-minute experience costs $29.95 per person and park admission is not required. The attraction runs from 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
