A top Republican fundraiser is the newest member of the Board of Governor.
On Friday, Gov. Rick Scott appointed Darlene Jordan to the State University System’s governing board. The 49-year-old Palm Beach woman is the executive director of the Gerald R. Jordan Foundation.
A top fundraiser, Jordan served as the co-chairwoman of Scott’s 2014 re-election bid. She is currently working with the super PAC backing Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera’s U.S. Senate bid.
Jordan also serves as a member of the Fordham University Board of Trustees, the Harvard Business School Board of Dean’s Advisors, Oxbridge Academy Board of Trustees, the Boys and Girls Club of Boston and the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach.
An attorney by trade, Jordan previously worked as assistant attorney general and assistant district attorney for the State of Massachusetts. She has her bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and a law degree from Suffolk University.
Her term, which is subject to Senate confirmation, ends Jan. 6, 2019.
