House District 43 challenger Ricardo Rangel announced an endorsement from the Osceola County Association of Realtors (OSCAR) on Monday.
“We are happy to endorse Ricardo Rangel as our recommended candidate for Florida House of Representatives, District 43. Ricardo was always an advocate for our initiatives during his past tenure and we look forward to working with him again,” OSCAR Government Affairs Director Joyce D. Malone said.
Rangel said he was honored to have the endorsement.
“I am honored to have OSCAR’s endorsement, at almost 3,000 members strong, I look forward to working with them to preserve and protect homeownership.” he said.
When House District 43 was created after the legislature districts were redrawn in 2012, Rangel ran for that and won. However, he then lost to a challenger, John Cortes, in 2014.
Rangel initially filed to run this time in Congressional District 9 against Darren Soto, Susanna Randolph, Valleri Crabtree and Dena Minning.
Then he switched gears to run for his old seat again, to try and unseat Cortes. The third challenger in the race for HD 43 is fellow Democrat Sara Shaw. There are no Republicans in the race.
