Orange County Commission candidate Pete Crotty has recevied the endrosement of Court Programs Inc., an Orlando-based organization working to develop and manage alternative sentencing programs and other social services throughout the southeast United States.

Crotty is competing with Mayra Uribe for the District 3 seat on the Orange County Commission in the Nov. 6 runoff election. Uribe finished first and Crotty second in a six-way election in August.

Crotty is a recovering addict who has worked for years assisting people in Orange County’s corrections system, including in alternative sentencing programs. Court Programs Inc. recognized that in offering him the organization’s backing.

Your many years of dedication to the Orange County community and priority to focus on what is specifically needed to guide each citizen to become a recovered member of society, has shown your sacrifice for the greater good,” Court Programs Inc. President David Rothbart stated in an endorsement letter. “We whole heartedly endorse and support you in your journey to becoming the next great Commissioner representing District 3 of Orange County and working towards making the future of Orange County bright.”
