Next month’s Belmont Stakes will feature a visualization created by a local game development studio.

Third Time LLC, an Orlando-based independent development firm, will take NBC show hosts predictions to create a virtual running of the 1.5-mile race. Analysts will predict horse placement at certain points of the race, the data will be used for a pre-race show.

The race’s post time is 6:45 p.m. June 10 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York.

About a year ago, former employees of Zynga and Electronic Arts founded Third Time, a three-person studio that also employs two contractors.

Third Time had previously produced simulations for the May 20 NBC coverage of the Preakness Stakes.

Third Time will use the software behind its simulation game Photo Finish Horse Racing, which the Orlando Sentinel reports have been downloaded worldwide more than 4.5 million times.

In-app purchases in the game have made the company more than $2.5 million.
