For new UCF coach Scott Frost, there is nowhere to go but up.
Frost takes over a Knights’ program that finished 0-12 a season ago and ranks only 92nd in the nation in recruiting. UCF is ninth in recruiting in the AAC.
Frost, the former Nebraska quarterback, has a lot of building to do. But Central Florida had some good years recently. There seems to be little argument the Knights can do it again.
Before Frost was hired, there was a growing opinion that the UCF coaching job might be even better than Miami’s. That doesn’t seem to be case; Miami is 18th in recruiting under new coach Marc Richt. But if Frost can make some inroads and surprise some people, the sky might be the limit.
