Gregory Eisenberg has been appointed to the MetroPlan Orlando Community Advisory Committee for a four-year term.
Eisenberg ran for Orange County Commission District 5 earlier this year, but lost in the August primary election. Now he’s taking his career in a new direction with MetroPlan.
The purpose of the Community Advisory Committee is to provide citizen input to the transportation planning process and to reflect the diversity of the Central Florida community, according to a press release from MetroPlan.
“I am ready to dedicate the next four years to advocating for smart, feasible transit solutions that provide the efficiency and accessibility that our community needs,” Eisenberg is quoted as saying. “I was selected to represent our families, students, young professionals, elderly, and those with disabilities, and I promise to deliver.”
Eisenberg currently works as the Regional Director for Asset Campus Housing at UCF. His campaign for Orange County Commissioner was heavily transportation-focused, with much of his rhetoric centered on expanding transportation services and accessibility, particularly in the UCF area where he worked.
