Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Dennis Freytes, a highly-active leader in Orlando’s veterans and Puerto Rican communities, has announced his endorsement of Republican Stockton Reeves in the contest for Florida’s House District 47.

“I have known Stockton for many years and I know the service and sacrifice his family has made for our nation,” Freytes said in a news release issued by Reeves’ campaign. “His family’s six relatives who lie at rest in Arlington National Cemetery and another family member at West Point are a testament to his family’s commitment and dedication to fighting for and preserving our nation’s liberties.”

Reeves, a Winter Park businessman, faces Democrat Anna Eskamani of Orlando in the HD 47 contest to represent north-central Orange County, including Winter Park and downtown Orlando.

“I am proud to announce that Lt. Colonel Dennis Freytes has endorsed my candidacy for the Florida House of Representatives in District 47,” Reeves said.
