Orange County School Board candidate David Grimm has picked up the endorsement of Orlando City Commissioner Jim Gray in the contest for the open seat in District 2.
“I am proud to endorse David Grimm for Orange County School Board District 2,” Gray stated in an announcement Grimm’s campaign released. “
Grimm, of Orlando, faces Johanna López of Orlando in a runoff election on Nov. 6 after the two finished second and first, respectively, in the Aug. 28 election featuring six candidates. The district covers part of south-central Orange County, overlapping significantly with Gray’s distict on the Orlando City Commission.
“It is an honor to have the endorsement of Jim Gray, the Commissioner of District 1 on the Orlando City Council. Mr. Gray has served Orlando for the past 6 years,” Grimm responded on Facebook.
