Preparing to seek a third term in the Florida House, Altamonte Springs Republican Bob Cortes has drawn a Democratic challenger.

Winter Park Democrat Daniel Clark Anderson opened a campaign account this week to run against Cortes in 2018 in House District 30, which includes parts of Seminole and Orange counties, according to the state Division of Elections website.

Anderson is the first opponent to emerge for Cortes, who had raised $58,960 for his re-election bid as of the end of October, finance reports show.
